Turkey Burgers - Julia's Simply Southern



These Turkey Burgers from Julia's Simply Southern are a healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers. They are packed with flavor and have a juicy, tender texture. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend cookout!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion slices
  • Pickles optional
  • Ketchup and mustard for serving

Instructions:

Grate Parmesan cheese, add ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion and bell pepper, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper

Mix everything together in a large bowl

Combine the parts until they are well mixed

Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty

Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat

Cook the turkey burger patties on the grill or pan for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done inside and have a nice char on the outside

Fry or grill the hamburger buns for a few seconds on each side while the burgers are cooking

Start by putting a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun

Then add a turkey patty, tomato slices, red onion slices, and pickles, if you want

On the top half of the buns, spread ketchup and mustard

Then, put them on top of the burgers that have been put together

Warm up your favorite side dishes and serve your tasty turkey burgers
